This garden is situated in the residential Vogelwijk area, which borders the coastal dunes and the beach. The client’s objective was to optimize his family’s living space and enhance their outdoor experience. Terraces were therefore installed in various locations, and intimate seating areas were created. The garden extends along both sides of the house, ensuring the family can enjoy the sun at any time of the day. Furthermore, the property now boasts a view of the garden and its greenery from every room in the house, creating a strong interaction between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
From the street, you walk up a gravel path to the front door and various seating areas. Along the path, several flower borders are laid out and edges are defined by weathering steel. The former driveway has been transformed into a large terrace that serves as an additional living room. This area is ideal for enjoying meals and drinks on sunny days. The characteristic pine tree makes for a great centerpiece and gives the garden a Mediterranean touch.
The garden has become a reflection of the nearby dune landscape. With natural elements and lush planting that blend seamlessly with the surrounding area. Wavy shapes alternate with clean lines. Ceramic tiles go hand in hand with wooden details. The planters are filled with a mix of beautiful reeds and waving grasses that move gracefully with the fresh sea breeze, creating a playful and visually appealing effect.
